Your answers are not being saved on this device. The session below still works and you can keep going. To keep a copy of what you did, use Download my record at the end and keep the file.
Your answers are not reaching your profile right now. They are kept in this browser and we keep trying to send them, so nothing has been lost. If you want a copy in your hands this minute, use Download my record at the bottom of this page.
This question set is missing part of its record-keeping. You can practise normally. What you do here may not be usable for the performance breakdown, and we would rather say so than quietly drop it.

The practice questions are free — they sit behind a free account so your answers can be saved to your profile, scored on the server, and turned into the per-area breakdown that tells you where practice pays next.
Create a free account or sign in — an email and a password, nothing else.

Reload the page. If it keeps happening, the set is being republished and will be back shortly.
Not open yet
The first free question set is still being written to the published content outline and has not been released. Nothing on this page is a practice question today.
Every question has to clear its own review before it appears here: the citation is checked at the primary source, the item is checked against our own originality gate, and it is signed off before release. That is why this screen is empty rather than filled with something provisional.
Join the list on the home page and you will get one message when it opens.
Question
Answer and explanation
Correct option:
Why each of the other options is wrong
Authority edition tag:
This answer turns on the edition named above. When the state adopts a different edition, the question is rewritten against the new text rather than quietly reused.

A count of what you did, on these questions, today. It is not a prediction about the examination, and we will not dress it up as one.
By content area
Content areas come from the published examination outline. A count this small tells you where to look next, not how well you know an area.
Every question, and what the answer rests on
The ones you missed are open. The rest are folded up.
Where practice pays next
Ranked by how many questions an area is worth on the real examination, not by the share you got wrong. A small area you find hard costs less than a large one you find slightly hard, and drilling the small one first is the most common way to waste study time.
A training set, not a simulated examination: it is weighted towards the areas above while staying anchored to the published outline, and no area can take more than three times its share.
This set came out short. There are not enough released questions yet to fill every area it asked for. We would rather tell you than quietly swap in questions from somewhere else, because that would no longer be the set we said it was.
There are not enough released questions yet to build a set from this. Come back when more areas have opened.
The real administration authorises no review after the examination ends. Going back through your answers here is a study aid, not a preview of test day.
About this session
One question at a time, the way the examination itself is delivered. Mark anything you want to come back to, move freely forwards and backwards, and — because this is practice and not the test — show the answer, the reason every other option is wrong, and the law it rests on whenever you want it.
Practice mode. The clock counts up and you can hide it; the real examination counts the minutes down instead. You can show the answer at any time. Nothing here is scored by anyone but you.
Timed mode. The clock counts down and cannot be hidden, and no answer is shown until you end the session.
Closed book. No reference material is shown on this screen. The examination itself is closed book and allows no reference materials in the test centre.
Open book. Reference lookup is part of this examination, so time spent finding the answer counts.

Your record
Your answers save to your account's profile as you go. Sign in on any device and your history is there — nothing to write down, nothing to transcribe.
Delete my record
This erases your profile on the server and every answer kept in this browser. If this record is the only one attached to your account, the account — email and all — is deleted too. It cannot be undone. If you want a copy first, use Download my record.
You chose , and that is the answer.
You chose . The answer is .
You left this one blank. The answer is .
You looked at the answer before choosing on this one, so it is not counted as a measure of anything. That is fine while you are learning.
How faithful this is, and where it deliberately is not
The layout follows conventions PSI publishes for its computer-delivered tests: one question on the screen, a status bar carrying the question counter and the tallies of answered, unanswered and marked items, a Mark control for anything you want to revisit, a GoTo screen that filters to marked or unanswered questions and jumps by number, free movement backwards and forwards, and an End step you have to confirm. It is a resemblance of conventions, not a copy of anyone's software, and it carries no one's branding.
Three things here are not test-day behaviour, and we would rather label them than let them surprise you. Practice mode counts time up instead of down, and lets you hide the clock. Practice mode shows you the answer and the reasoning whenever you ask. And you can go back through your answers afterwards, which the administration itself does not authorise. Timed mode turns the first two off.
Confirm the current rules for your appointment — what you may bring, which calculators are permitted, check-in and identification — in PSI's Candidate Information Bulletin for this examination, and the licence requirements with Michigan's Bureau of Construction Codes. This site is preparation, not a substitute for either.
